We are decidedly different

Selling a private jet aircraft involves hiring a brokerage firm to market it for sale and bring in a buyer. A 5% percent commission on the sale of an aircraft is the standard asking fee. That means that seller can expect to pay $100K dollars or more to sell their private jet. In the past, the brokers used email lists, mailers, and industry contacts to find buyers for their clients. These were contacts that a seller did not have so paying a commission for an introduction quickly became the standard. However, the rise of the internet has turned the traditional sales path on its head by enabling buyers and sellers to find each other online. Websites such as controller.com and avbuyer.com serve up thousands of impressions each day connecting sellers with potential buyers around the world.

Additionally, many owners do not need the complete range of services that are offered by a full-service broker. For example, a flight department may have the technical resources to shepherd their aircraft through a pre-purchase inspection, or owner may be selling an aircraft that is in high-demand and will not need a lot on marketing resources. but, in each case, a broker would still make a $100K commission to sell the aircraft.  There has got to be a better way.

So, we reinvented it.

Owner Jet Services was founded on the simple idea to allow aircraft owners to pay only for the services they need to sell their aircraft—never a percent of the sales price. If you need marketing and sales support but wish to use your own legal counsel—that’s fine. If you own an aircraft that is in high-demand and only need sales support—that’s fine too.  We believe you should pay us only for the work we do for you. We focus on providing you with honest information and an experienced team who is always available to help when you need it.
